Friday Night Live

EVERY FRIDAY | MAY 29 – AUGUST 28, 2026 | 6-9PM | DOWNTOWN CHAMPAIGN

Downtown Champaign will serve as the backdrop for Friday Night Live, a free street-side performance series featuring multiple bands every week. Friday Night Live will be held every Friday from 6-9pm starting May 29th through August 28th. Performances will be held at the intersections of Main & Fremont, Neil & Park, the Downtown Plaza, and Market & Taylor in Downtown Champaign. Friday Night Live will include an eclectic mix of music including rock, folk, bluegrass, jazz, R&B, funk, hip-hop, country, indie, and blues, along with a free kids’ activity such as bubbles, balloons, face painting, caricatures, hula-hooping, and glitter tattoos.

FRIDAY, May 29th

Market & Taylor:

6pm: Vestiges – power pop & rock

7:30pm: Modern Drugs – Midwest pop

Neil & Park:

6pm: The Surreal Deal – 70’s jam band

7:30pm: Rory Book and the Volumes – starkly unique Americana

Downtown Plaza:

6pm: Wildwood – bluegrass

7:30pm: Union Avenue – jump blues/rockabilly

Fremont & Main (next to The Space):

6pm: Carrie Sue & The Wood Burners – bluegrass/folk

7:30pm: The Chickadee Sermon – acoustic folk
