EVERY FRIDAY | MAY 31 – AUGUST 23 | 2024 | 6-9PM | DOWNTOWN CHAMPAIGN
Downtown Champaign will serve as the backdrop for Friday Night Live, a free street-side performance series featuring multiple bands every week. Friday Night Live will be held every Friday from 6-9pm starting May 31st through August 23rd. Performances will be held at the intersections of Main & Fremont, Neil & Park, and Market & Taylor in Downtown Champaign. Friday Night Live will include an eclectic mix of music including rock, folk, bluegrass, jazz, R&B, funk, hip-hop, country, indie, and blues, along with a free kids’ activity such as bubbles, balloons, face painting, caricatures, hula-hooping, and glitter tattoos.
FRIDAY, July 26th
Market & Taylor:
6pm: Chris Chism & Co. – pop covers
7:30pm: DeShawn Wolf Williams & La Jason w/ Ther’Up.Y – R&B/soul
Neil & Park:
6pm: Castle Finn – indie/retro-rock
7:30pm: Big Mo And The Phat Groove – soul/blues/funk/groove
Fremont & Main (next to The Space):
6pm: John Coppess & the Limping Cowboy Band – country, folk & cowboy music
7:30pm: Metrofern – disco-funk
Also featuring our special weekly kids’ activity: Caricatures with Dan Wild, Illustrator, Designer and Caricaturist!!
