SKY GALLERY40 North and Adams Outdoor Advertising are thrilled to announce a new rotation of Sky Gallery! This is a unique opportunity for selected artists to display their work on possibly the largest canvas in town: billboards! Submissions will be accepted for review through Monday, July 29, 2024. A jury will select six winners to have their pieces showcased on a custom 10ft x 30ft billboard.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A FILM ARTISTCalling all local artists interested in participating in the film industry!  On August 29 from 5:30-6:30pm at the Champaign Public Library, interested artists will learn about the process for licensing their work to use in locally filmed productions, compensation structures, and the upcoming film artist database. All types of artwork are needed for film! 

Space is limited. RSVP to guarantee a space.

MTD ARTFour selected artists will be featured on the interior overhead panels of every MTD bus for a period of approximately 3 months. A new set will be posted each quarter: March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1.  Current submissions are due by 11:59pm on Monday, August 19, 2024! 

 

ART@BUSEYBusey Wealth Management is thrilled to announce a new round of their recurring art exhibit located at their headquarters in Urbana! They are looking to showcase the work of multiple local artists chosen through a jury selection process.  All selected pieces will be displayed from October 2024 through July 2025. The Wealth Management offices are currently open from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday for artists who would like to view the specific wall site and surrounding area. Please note that display areas will be located on the second and third floors.

Deadline submission is 11:59pm on Friday, August 23rd. Late work will not be considered. We will contact the selected artists on September 9th with further instructions. The date for the opening reception is tentatively scheduled for mid-October with more details to come.

WESTSIDE ARTS – The 3rd Annual West Side Arts will take place Sunday, September 15, 2024 at West Side Park. The Champaign Park District and 40 North will join up to bring artists and art lovers together for a free juried art festival.  Join us from 10am to 5pm to purchase and peruse amazing local and regional art showcasing a multitude of mediums! Submissions are due 11:59pm on August 12 to be considered for the 3rd Annual Westside Arts in Champaign, IL on September 15 from 10am-5pm. 

THE URBANA FREE LIBRARY– encourages local artists to apply for its What’s Your Story? Artist-in-Residence Program, which will take place from fall 2024 through spring 2025. Three artists will be selected, and each residency will last one month.

Selected artists will develop and facilitate workshops for children, teens, adults, and seniors on personal storytelling through visual arts.  Artist workshops will be incorporated into established Library series such as Young Artist’s Studio (grades K-5), Makerspace Jr. (grades K-5), Teen Open Lab (grades 6-12), Craft Happy Hour (adults), and Senior Treats & Topics (seniors).

ALLERTON GLOWAllerton is seeking artists to create and install a lighted piece to be featured in this winter’s GLOW walk. Pieces featured in the past have included neon, LED, fiber optics, and UV. 

Submissions are due by 11:59pm on Thursday, October 31.

CREATIVITY ON WHEELSCreativity on Wheels is a program offering bimonthly creativity boxes delivered by volunteers and monthly phone calls from a friendly volunteer to adults 60 and older living independently in Champaign & Douglas Counties. Boxes are themed and include art materials, art exercises designed by local artists, introspective crafts, affirmation cards, thought-provoking questions, and more!

Selected artists will receive a $300 stipend.
