Artist Profile

Madison Ciaccio

Artist Statement

I’m on an ever-evolving investigation of nostalgia. I feel it most when I look at an old, lived-in house or a rusty, abandoned playground. Alongside that, I fell in love with the human figure a long time ago, and have since been exploring the duality of those things. The roundness of flesh and the line of the figure contrasting harsh, geometric lines of architecture will forever fascinate me.

Bio / Description

I have trouble sticking only to paint… I prefer to collage and sketch with charcoal/chalk into my acrylic paintings. I can work on any scale; having delved into miniatures, but also thoroughly exploring large scale canvas. The building up of history and layering secrets into a work is what truly binds me to and guides my process of creation.
