The moody florals are done with soft pastels, whereas most of my portraits are oil paintings, which aim to be more fun than real life, with layers of glowy jewel tones and plenty of darkness. Note: one image is a copy I painted of John Singer Sargent’s Portrait of Mrs Charles Inches.
