ART-IN-ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM of the Capital Development Board is pleased to announce a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to Illinois professional artists to create permanent original public art for the Illinois Central College Library and Administration Building in East Peoria, Illinois.
The Committee is seeking a 7’x7’ wall installation located in the entrance lobby above the self-serve student kiosk stations. The artwork will welcome students and visitors, and provide further interest in the building reception area. The installation should celebrate ICC and its students, and be cognizant of the building aesthetic.
The total budget for this project is $23,000. For full details, read the Request for Qualifications document. The submission deadline is 3:00pm on Friday, September 12. All submissions must be sent to CDB.ArtinArchitecture@illinois.gov
HORIZON CLIMBING is seeking four artists to display work for four separate 3-month rotations. Artwork must be ready to hang. Each show will have an opening reception hosted at Horizon Climbing. LEONHARD RECREATION CENTER– 40 North and the Champaign Park District invite muralists to submit an application to develop a mural in the entrance and lobby of Leonhard Recreation Center. Funding for this mural is made possible through a grant from Illinois Arts Council. Submissions must be received by 11:59pm on Monday, August 25.

BUSEY WEALTH MANAGEMENT– is thrilled to announce a new round of their recurring art exhibit located at their headquarters in Urbana! They are looking to showcase the work of multiple local artists chosen through a jury selection process. All selected pieces will be displayed from October 2025 through July 2026. The Wealth Management offices are currently open from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday for artists who would like to view the specific wall site and surrounding area. Please note that display areas will be located on the second and third floors.
Deadline submission is 11:59pm on Friday, August 22nd. Late work will not be considered. We will contact the selected artists the week of September 15th with further instructions. The date for the opening reception is tentatively scheduled for October 16 with more details to come.

WESTSIDE ARTS– The 4th Annual Westside Arts in Champaign, IL will be held on September 14, 2025 from 10am-5pm. Submission deadline is 11:59pm on Friday, August 8th.

40 NORTH’S PUBLIC ART LEAGUE– is seeking artists to display sculptures in Champaign County. Selected sculptures will be installed in the community metro area and will serve as major visual anchor points, community identity and a statement that creativity and art are of vital importance to our existence in Central Illinois.
40 North will offer selected artists a $2,500 honorarium to cover artist expenses such as temporary (2) year lease of artwork, transportation to and from the installation site, food & lodging, and artist fees for on-site availability during installation and de-installation.
This opportunity is open to all professional visual artists, aged 18 and older, with public art experience. Selection panelists and their immediate family members are not eligible for participation.

COMMON GROUND FOOD CO-OP FLATLANDER GALLERY– Apply to show your local art at Common Ground Food Cooperative! We are looking for many local artists to feature in our gallery. Our Art Gallery is located in our highly utilized Flatlander Classroom. This multi-use Classroom is ideal for integrating the arts into the urban environment and creating partnerships among artists, the community, and the Co-op. Selected artists will be invited to install for around 1.5 months (approximately 6 weeks). Selected artists will be allotted 2 identical locked cases in the gallery each measuring 8’ long x 44’’ high x 4’’ wide.
