Homer Lake Interpretive Center

Bio / Description:

Wildlife and natural beauty abound at Homer Lake Forest Preserve, approximately 14 miles southeast of Champaign-Urbana. We are seeking artists who would like to perform and/or display their works in and around the Homer Lake Interpretive Center during the Boneyard Arts Festival's Out & About Day. Artists who find inspiration in nature or who use natural materials are particularly desired.

The Homer Lake Interpretive Center has over 400 square feet of indoor display area that includes wall, window, and shelf space; ceilings are 8ft in height. Some taxidermy and live animal exhibits will be visible in the display areas. Around the perimeter of the building, the garden and backyard bird-feeding areas will be ideal for displaying sculptures. Artists who have the ability to set up a station outdoors will have unlimited space to work with! Additional indoor space may be available upon request. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a tour of our facilities.Supreme
