Artist Statement:
I am a true Bohemian. My Czech heritage is an important part of my world view and contributes to my original perspective for my art. I come from a long line of Czech glass artisans in Europe on my mother’s side, their works are on display in the Prague National Museum. It is in the blood. I am also an Irish Tinker, having traveled the American countryside with my parents, as my father climbed the corporate ladder. From east to west, north to south, I have lived in several different countries all within the U.S, each with its own unique viewpoint which influenced my art. I have been creating and designing my whole life. Now it is an obsession and my drug of choice.
I paint exclusively in acrylics in color, lots and lots of color. I use only the very best in cotton and linen canvas and the very best in paints, either Liquitex or Golden. Your purchase is guaranteed to give you pleasure for many years, just don't let the dog chew on it or use the canvas as a serving tray for drinks. All guarantees of continued good use are rescinded at that point. Dilly Dilly.
I have a full studio in my own home and have been painting professionally for 10 years. I have volunteered at the Dallas Museum of Art and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art wearing many different hats, mostly red though. I have attended art exhibitions in Dallas, Chicago, Santa Barbara, San Diego, New York, Rome, Florence, Vienna, Prague and London where I did not turn cartwheels in the galleries, I promise. Only thought about it, that's my story and I am sticking to it. Although there are some Swiss Guards at the Vatican who would disagree with me.
I studied fine art and graduated from Southern Methodist University and have continued my art studies independently. Education: Bachelor of Science (Double Major) Fine Art History, Anthropology, Dallas, Texas, class of 1995.

"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams, wandering by lone sea breakers, and sitting by desolate streams;-On whom the pale moon gleams; yet we are the movers and shakers of the World forever, it seems." Willy Wonka
