Mugdock Pipers
Artist Statement:
Presently the Mugdock Pipers can provide a single piper or up to four. In 2012 we provided pipers for a fund raiser at St. Thomas More High School, 40 North's Friday Night Live, a concert at Clark Lindsey Retirement Village, and the CU Folk and Roots Festival.
Bio / Description:
The Mugdock Pipers were founded in the 1960s by Mr. Jim Lynch, Urbana, to promote the art of the Highland Bagpipe in the Champaign-Urbana area. Members have been drawn from among UIUC students as well as from the wider community. Current members are from Champaign, Urbana, Villa Grove, and Oakland.
