Artist Statement:
Julie's expressive hand conveys force, high contrast, and dramatic color and/or light. She aims to convey her perspective of nature and humanity's relationship to it.
Julie works with a variety of media including charcoal, pastels, acrylic paint, and oil paint. She enjoys doing studies and drawings in pastel outdoors directly observing nature in addition to her larger scale oil paintings in studio.
Bio / Description:
Julie is passionate about art, nature, design, color, philosophy, and sustainability. She loves spending time outdoors appreciating the beauty in nature, which inspires her artwork and sustainable design.
Julie is in her final year of completing her industrial design degree at the University of Illinois. In addition to learning design, she has seized various opportunities to participate in courses in painting and drawing at the university.Running Archives
