Artist Statement:
Having been a professional arts Community Liaison for Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, and having been a Modern Ballet teacher with an Attestation in danse contemporaine from the Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris, France, Jessica feels that her photographs, even her still life works, are infused with the spirit of movement and music. She feels that the arts exist to connect people positively to one another and to the beauty in the world. Her hope is to put happy energy into the world by sharing her art with people of all ages.
Bio / Description:
Jessica Lewis Watson, author and photographer, was born in Urbana, Illinois, and grew up mostly in Europe. After earning her BA and MA degrees (from the University of Illinois and Baylor University respectively), Jessica became interested in photography while illustrating her magazine articles. Her writing and photography publications include work in Writer's Digest, Log Home Living, Health Foods Business, Good Dog!, Mushing Magazine, Diversion, and many more.
