For 16 years, the News-Gazette has supported great movies at the Virginia Theatre through its popular classic film series. Presented one Saturday each month (except in October and December, when we highlight Hitchcock and Christmas films), the News-Gazette Film Series is your ticket to Hollywood’s golden age. Many films are projected from 35mm reel-to-reel prints, while others show on the Virginia’s new Christie 4K digital projector. Throw in house organist David Schroeder performing on our historic Hope Jones II Wurlitzer, and you have a wonderful evening of classic entertainment fit for the whole family!
