Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green St., Champaign
Costumed in knitter Stephen West's creations, 20 musicians and dancers will perform in and around the library. The performers are students in COLAB, an interdisciplinary class at the University of Illinois, taught by Erik R. Lund, professor of composition-theory, and Kirstie Simson, associate professor of dance. Stephen West is based in Brooklyn and is known worldwide for his inventive and beautiful knitwear designs and patterns. Find out more about Stephen West and Westknits at http://www.westknits.com.

Who is Stephen West?
Knitwear designer Stephen West dreams up extravagently colorful, sometimes geometric, rule-defying, highly personal creations. His patterns are wildly popular on Ravelry and his Instagram has more than 75K followers. In recent months, Stephen has presented his work in Greenland, in Reykjavik, Iceland, and in England at his Stephen & Penelope Yarn Store. He's originally from the U.S. and studied dance at the University of Illinois. http://www.westknits.com
