June 25, 2005
Champaign - Parkland College has announced a new series of free web page workshops for girls in July. Area girls ages 10 to 16 have the opportunity to enroll in two free web page workshops designed to help them learn about HTML, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Flash in a fun and nonthreatening atmosphere.
Beginning Web: HTML, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop will meet July 18-21, while Intermediate Web: HTML, Dreamweaver, and Flash will meet July 25-28. Both sessions will meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in Room D208 at Parkland College.
Here's a great opportunity for budding artists to learn how to market their work to the world!
The workshops are open to any girls ages 10 to 16 and are designed to support girls in the underrepresented field of computer science. The National Science Foundation and the Parkland Computer Science and Information Technology department have helped sponsor the workshops.
Space is limited. To register, go to wcsit.csit.parkland.edu/events/webworkshop.php
