Nominations Sought for Champaign County's "Most Valuable Citizen"

Champaign - The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce has announced that nominations are currently being accepted for its annual Champaign County's Most Valuable Citizen Award. The award, instituted by the Chamber in 1992, recognizes the outstanding contributions of individuals to life in Champaign County - people who have truly made a difference - by celebrating their ongoing commitment to the community and its development.

Nominations, including self nominations, are currently being accepted at the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce . While repeat recipients are allowed, they are not encouraged. The selection committee will choose one recipient from those nominated. Nominations are confidential - only the recipient will be announced and publicized.

The award will be presented at the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 22, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center.
